Decks are among the most important features of any outdoor living space. We build our decks to be strong, stylish and as cost effective as possible. The majority of decks are a basic rectangle with boards arranged in a simple pattern. We are very farmiliar with this standard style of deck and can easily easily get you an estimate. 

However we have listed some add ons and different ideas for deck builds below. Wether you want to build something very simple and budget friendly, or a complex custom deck. Two Lew will treat your project like our own and deliver a top quality build. 

Deck Builds

Gathering Area

Easily the most important addition for your deck is a seperated gathering space. It is simply an area dedicated to bringing together family and friends.

We reccomend an area that transitions with either a step or break in the deck boards to truly isolate the area. 

We often frame in benches, countertops or firepits for these sections and these items can also be used to define the footprint of your gathering area.

Transition Steps

Transition steps can be used strategically to replace the need for stairs and break up your deck into seperate areas. If the area you are planning to build has elevation change you may want to look into adding a few transitions. You can also use the same concept to create a nice shelf for chairs or some planters.

Deck Structures

Structure Builds

Running Steps

Running steps can be used to replace the need for a traditional staircase or steps. They can span the length of the deck and wrap around corners. They are  often more stylish and functional than their traditional counterpart.  If the area you are planning to build has elevation change you may want to consider adding running steps to your project.

Planters

Planter boxes can be used to create a space that feels more in tune with nature. When built within certain specs, they can also be used in place of railings required by code. These pantersare framed into thedeck and therefore a permanent feature. We do create stand alone planter boxes and install planters into the ground upon request.
Pro Tip - Not into gardening? fill the top portion of your planter with decorative rock or beauty bark for a low maintenance decoration.

Benches

Benches can be used alot like planters to create borders around your deck. They are also a necessity for any gathering areas you plan on. Similar to the structures we can build benches framed into your deck or as a stand alone peice.
