#2405 4' & 6' Mercer Island Fences

This Project is a Cedar Picket Fence Installed by Two Lew Builders LLC.

All Fences Built by Two Lew are installed with 120-180 lbs. of concrete at each post. Concrete depth is set at frost Line 24" and sits on top of 4"-6" of aggregate. This aggregate provides Drainage through the footing and prevents premature post rot at footing base.

Measures are always taken to ensure posts are plumb within 5 degrees and that no framing connection has a gap Greater than 1/8" Maximum. Post that make up a line during slopes will change elevations uniformly, when possible, to create Clean Straight finished lines. Pickets are to be square to framing and gapped uniformly. Visible fasteners are always installed with finish look in mind and a pattern is generally used to ensure quality finish. When possible fasteners will be hidden.

When Framing, nails used are Galvanized & Ring shank. Screws used are exterior coated.
When attaching Cedar Pickets, Nails used are galvanized at minimum with option for stainless, and again ring shank. Screws used are exterior coated at minimum and with the option for stainless.
Trim is installed with 15g Finish Nails, Galvanized at minimum with the option of Stainless steel.

The majority of our Fences are built with Ground Contact Rated, Pressure Treated Lumber that has received a #2 or better rating. Our standard picket choice is Western Red Cedar 5.5 Wide also rated at 2 or better. Because picket quality varies widely, We Hand select each picket so we can guarantee the quality of your finished product.

Our standard options are in place to help simplify the process for clients that are not interested in researching materials/ building styles but want a fence that is a good mix of strength, affordability and visual appeal. However, we are more than happy to build with any commonly accepted materials. Multiple listing options are available to choose from, or we can build a completely custom Fence from your input.
